If we want strong schools where students excel, we must design them to allow teachers to thrive, professionally and personally.

A New Model

Reimagining the Alliance Educator focuses on sustainability through structural redesign.

At three Alliance schools, leaders have redesigned weekly schedules to double planning time for teachers.

This shift enables:

More intentional collaboration
Stronger instructional planning
Targeted scholar support
Greater balance and retention
Improved scholar outcomes

The Impact

When teachers are given time to plan and collaborate, school culture changes, and student achievement improves.

Instruction grows stronger when it is thoughtfully designed, allowing teachers the time and space to anticipate and meet the unique needs of each scholar.

And over time, teachers choose to stay—not out of obligation, but because the structure supports their success.

Alliance Pilot Schools

It’s not just, I have the curriculum, and I’m going to deliver it. It’s how do you adjust it and modify it to fit how you are as a teacher and how students are going to receive it. You need to be able to do that, and adjust constantly, to be a good educator.
