I had a hard time keeping up as a student myself, and I understand the effects of getting left behind. I believe support has to come early, before they fall behind.”

You don’t see that often at their age. The impact the volunteers and faculty were having on them was obvious. Helping kids find that direction early is something I care about, and joining the board gives me a way to contribute beyond the time I could spend with the students.”
